Vellios on loan to Blackpool

Maybe they've told him it's make or break? He's refused to go out on loan before, so something must have changed his mind. He should be well suited to the Championship, although I don't expect Blackpool will play to his strengths in the air. If he fulfills his potential he could come back and be a useful player for us.

this lad has been offered numerous opportunities to go out on loan but refused every time. this could do him the world of good and come back a decent player. i wish him the best of luck, but i think he has cut his nose off.

It runs until 2015 according to Transfermarkt.
Hmmm both wiki and transfermarkt say he's here until 2015 but the official website says he is here until June 2014. http://www.evertonfc.com/player-profile/apostolos-vellios

I feel like he signed a 4 year deal so that would take him from Jan 2011 to probably June 2015. Hmmm but you think the official website would be the source you could trust? I really want to see what he can do on loan before letting him walk away for free so I hope he's got an extra year

I'd have thought, if his contract is about to run out, that he's been told to go out and prove that he's worth a new contract or impress potential new clubs. He hasn't really played any sort of football in such a long time as he's only made 3 appearances for the U21s this season. I hope he does do well.

Good luck to the lad, if he pulls his finger out of his arse, he could absolutely have a field day in that league, yes, even at Blackpool.

He's got nothing to lose, and there's a huge opportunity for him here, if not at Everton, then to stick his name in the shop window for someone to snaffle him up. He's a good player for me, but you need 100% commitment and attitude to succeed at the highest level, and well, if he isn't gonna show it, then he more than likely won't!
