Can't believe the club have the bare faced cheek to put a VDM vid clip up on his squad profile. He's not injured, he's not suspended, but he never makes the squad - even with 7 subs.

I agree, Moyes signs players and never plays them. Baines, Castillo, VDM, Manny Fernandes for a while too.

Shame about VDM. In the time he's been here he gave one 45 minute virtuoso performance against West Ham on a shitty winter's day two seasons back that hinted at the lost talent he is...then the wheels came off. But it was the only example of wing play that warrants the name I've seen at Goodison for years. That's a damning indictment of the way the team has been set up.

I think you should always use your squad to the max, especially when your squad is as big as ours.

It's obvious things aren't working and some players just aren't on form so why not use players like Van der Meyde, Rodwell, Castillo etc.

He's a player with craft and skill, something we seem to be lacking at the moment. Even if it's as a sub I'd use him...

He also does well on making a profit on Andy Johnson and James McFadden and recouping signifigant money on the likes of Simon Davies and Per Koldrup mate.

Yeah but where does that profit go? I try to be optimistic, but when was the last time the side put in a 90 minute performance worthy of the ticket price? I mean even the Uefa Cup games last season were only saved by late goals from Anichebe.

I don't think we have the wrong players, or that we have a threadbare squad. Getting a little sick of hearing Moyes moan and complain. He had the chance to [Poor language removed] off and he didn't take it, so would prefer him to get on the training ground and start developing players who are in the squad.

These are all guys in our first team squad, so why don't we see many of them? Villa have brought through some quality kids, Leeds did it, Spurs do it, Arsenal do it. Why the [Poor language removed] don't we?

Tell you why, Moyes can't develop players. Or the coaching staff can't develop players. I mean Osman is 27 and were still waiting for him to beef up and reach his potential.

I like DM but he has a big blind spot with VDM I think.

He won't play him now because if he were to play well (which I think there's a chance he would) DM would look daft for not playing him sooner.
I think it's become personal and I think, whatever VDM's flaws are, that it shows poor judgement on Davey's part.
Needs to swallow his pride and give him a go....we have zero creativity at the moment so there's no way that it could get any worse.

Now, how come the club allow the OS to interview VDM prior to the start of the season, have him laughing and joking on the OS videos and appearing to be relaxed, fit and raring to go. Yet he doesn't even warrant a place on the bench. And its not as if the likes of Osman and Arteta are blazing a trail. I honestly think Moyes's attitude and stubborn personality is a real problem.

I'm sure he over took me on the M62 a few days ago in a black or navy blue Porche. The reg plate had 2 numbers and VDM on it.
