VAR

They’re not related. One is offside. One is a push on the keeper.

I agree that their second could well have been ruled out for the push on Pickford, but they’re not the same offence at all.
My issue is that before VAR we would of scored goal and Spurs 2nd goal would of stood. VAR is far too inconsistent in my view, it can work in your favour sometimes, go against you at other times. Ref was quite happy to look for infringement for our goal, but didn't check screen for 2nd goal. I don't think Brentford should of got penalty, but ridiculous amount of added time to give RS chance to get back into it, was just as ridiculous. I'm frankly sick and tired of modern game, it's just scripted nonsense, ignoring Gabriel Jesus handling ball to make last day more interesting was ridiculous. There's zero accountability with VAR.

The ref doesn't decide what VAR ask him to review. The ref had given the goal but given what images VAR presented him with he had little option but to overturn his original decision.

Would have.....

Watching MOTD this morning.

Burnley striker offside in the build up and scores- goal given

Tarks offside in the build up and scores - not given

Both checked by VAR - ridiculous

When I watched it in MOTD, the commentator said that the Burnley striker looked offside to him. But it was checked and cleared. They didn’t get the lines out and show it. “Looking offside” and “being offside” are two different things. The BBC did put on their X account that he was onside.

VAR is bad and some things are still subjective but our 3 disallowed goals were offside yesterday. I just wish when we were in the stadium they would tell us why and show a replay in the big screens.

Thanks for that

Maybe the BBC should put it on TV as not all of us use Elons hate machine

All three goals were offside, what’s the complaint??

I agree by the way the ref was poor, but I don’t think he was poor with a bias toward any team he was just poor!
The thing that frustrated me with the ref is that Fulham were taking it in turns to foul Grealish, Tete, Lukic and Andersen. He only yellow carded Lukic and when Lukic was yellow carded he made 3 more fouls and stayed on, which was mental. Also in the scuffle where Bassey and Tarkowski got carded, Tete started all of that and got away with it.

Jep, they are. Respect to the linesman that they saw all of them on the pitch tho.

My problem is just with decisions like the 3rd offside that deliberate play isn‘t applicated the same way mostly.
