It was used as well as it could be there and of course it is to our detriment. They only get it right when it screws us
When they get it wrong it usually screws us as well.

I think any PL club wouldn’t get a PK after VAR when all you see is a player kicking the ground. Sadly, correct call here.
I'd be very annoyed to have that against us but there is absolutely no consistency in what is reviewed and what is overturned and what isn't

Pretty sure we've seen penalties not called in real time given by VAR for far less contact than that, too.

I’m not sure what Beto did would be given as a PK after review for any club. If there was contact, then maybe some top clubs get it. This was an easy one for the ref.

Some teams get two penalties in a single games whilst Everton don't get two in a season.
1 minute it took them to clear our goal...ref played 30 second extra over the 4 minutes given. I am starting to think here if there is bias of referees against some of the teams from the north of the country with the exception of the sky 6 pool and united. At times it feels that we are playing away all of the time...that yellow on chermiti is beyond incompetence. Never a fault in the first place let alone a yellow card.

Also interesting to see that they described it as "just below the knee" when the image shows it as being absolutely central to the shin, so as much just above the ankle as it is just below the knee.
