Completely disagree, remove it and the cheaters win. Thats what they WANT. They want it binned so that they have plausible deniability with every call. When the video is there and carefully reviewed, like this, it shows everyone the cheating. It cant be denied.

VAR is just fine, its the people running it that arent, and until they are removed nothing will change in refereeing in this league.

Yeah, I was travelling today so not at the game. But didn’t get excited with the Beto goal, as knew it was close and knew VAR would take the shine off it (right outcome in the end).
 
Personally I'm sick and tired of VAR, we have seen time and time again VAR decisions aren't consistent. It ruins match going experience, we had a 4 minute wait, to look at Betos clearly onside goal. VAR team, intentionally decided to show angle that gave Referee a view that favoured United. Even Ally McGoist was saying into was the wrong angle of foul to look at. I think Everton fans and other fans should make anti VAR banners or walk outs. In Derby, VAR tried to look at anything to disallow our goal. As long as fans stay quiet, it will continue to ruin game.
 
VAR should be used only for 'factual' decisions. Was the ball over the goal/touch line, was he offside? Everything else is subjective - was it a fould/did he dive, is it a booking or a sending off, was he interfeering with play or not? Why have 3 or 4 people giving their opinions (the ref plus the VAR lot). Just leave it to the ref and if he misses something, then he misses something. I'd rather have human error than the continual double standards of 'we won't ineterfere with the onfield decision unless it's clear and obvious.................unless we want to!

Football was the most 'beautiful' game in the world for over 100 years without it.

We dont need it!

What i would do though is start bringing in foreign refs, too many have a gripe with certain players or clubs/managers or 'support' a certain club.

Create one pool of refs in Europe and they go around the different leagues each week doing one in Spain Italy France etc.... but you cant officiate in the country you are from, that would stop bias or the blatant corruption

It was beautiful because it was sport, not a business. There's too much money in it now and it will never be pure again. The best we can hope for is a truly independent regulator. Today has proved how essential that is

If we decided en masse not to go to the game then you can change the owners vote in those meetings.

We would need all clubs (well at least 14) to do the same. Not going to happen but var has ruined going to the game for me. It ain't football anymore.

Football was the "beautiful" game before modern money got a hold of it. If you think VAR was what changed it you havent been watching for the past 20 years. It turned when it became more "entertainment" to put money in the pockets of the rich clubs, rather than real sport, and the referees are a tool in that arsenal.

Its the ONLY tool we have to truly expose the corruption. Destroying your one way to expose the corruption is insane unless you are a fan of the sly 6.

Same here x100. The only excitement I get now when we score a goal against a media darling is whether or not I win the pool against my amigos for how long VAR will spend looking for any reason whatsoever to rule it out even though everyone watching on a screen doesn't need 3m30s to see what is clear
