Okay I’m really really confused.. Baldy head on Sky Sports said Liverpool goal counts cos it was to far back and 2 players has touched since the hand ball, yet Brighton goal was offside despite 7 different ppl touching the ball... make ur mind up
Chelsea went 2.1 up against them and they brought it back about 25 seconds to find something against Chelsea to rule out the goal.

Probably been posted already but it seems to me that VAR has encouraged players to surround the ref again - even grab a hold (noticed Fred doing it at the Pit when Firmino “scored” the RS 2nd.
Back to the bad old days of Keane, Neville et al screaming obscenities into the ref’s face
Bad, bad, bad

One of these days a call isn't going to be made and then a goal scored going the other way then VAR will step in to not only reverse the goal going the other way, it gives a penalty or something.

Man it's going to go off then..

I was at the Spurs game yesterday. I was down the other end to the Aguero penalty incident and then Sterling to follow so didn't have the best of views of it.

My issue with VAR yesterday is how can they allow or take such a long time to decide that it's a penalty. The play must've gone on for 4/5 minutes after the incident before the penalty was finally awarded?

They shouldn't have to wait for a break in play they should review it straight away and take maybe a few looks at different angles then make a decision. The risk of this is if you allow play to continue and then the other team counter attack and score a perfectly legitimate goal or if a player puts in a dangerous lunging tackle/commits violent conduct and receives a red card if the VAR then stops play and says penalty they have to disallow the goal and let the player who has been sent off come back on and no red card?

It’s happened, twice that I can think of. Obvious handball by the RS v City, they go the other end and Fabinho scores a 25 yarder. Goal.
on Saturday too, Ings was tripped by Fabinho, 10 passes later Chamberlain scores. There’s probably more. But the penalty decisions in isolation you’d think they would be given, the home team then scores without the ball going out of play for a decision to be made, it takes a very brave ref not only to disallow the goal but award a pen against them, unfortunately we don’t have brave refs, they’re all poohouses.
Thing is, the ref can’t really stop play if he hasnt blown. He should blow for the pen and then look at it on the monitor and then make the decision but then every pen decision would have to be done that way which would make loads more stoppages. The Ings one on motd was a stonewaller, surely Stockley park can see it on the replay and inform the ref within seconds it’s a pen, why wait for a stoppage to have a review. It’s taking far too long for them to come to decisions even for the most blatant things. I don’t even know what’s a pen these days, some of the decisions that have been given/not given I don’t even think the officials do either.
