I wish Alex Ferguson was still managing. Can you imagine his reaction to the calls Liverpool have received this season? The whole thing would have been disbanded after about game 2 after the storm he would have kicked up. The premier league have put more time into gagging club managers from talking out against referees then they have anything else.

Not once all season has a ref gone to the monitor beside the pitch to check a decision unlike in the WC where it happened regularly.

Makes you wonder who these 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse sitting in a studio are, do they support any particular team, how come they manage to unanimously agree on all decisions, and where dafuq is Stockley Park anyway ?

After that farce today at the Pit the whole thing stinks to high heaven.

Yeah, but then DCLs pen also has to be given. I don’t think Carroll’s or DCLs we’re pens. Potentially Keane’s, but I haven’t seen any good replays of that (genuinely can’t find any), but from the regular angle, could easily have been, but would have been soft.
It's madness, even the lad commenting was starting to say "theres nothing in it. Oh..he pushed him, definitely, but I don't think it's enough". What the hell is wrong with these people??

All clubs implementing big screen TVs showing the same replay to refs and fans alike with all referees microphoned up so that the fans can hear the call just like in Rugby Union. Nowhere to hide, and for that reason they’ll never do it. There’s still be a title race this season with level playing field officiating and we’d probably be knocking on the door of the European places. The money makers are not interested in a level playing field though. They want certainty of outcome to appease their armchair consumers the majority of whom support who they’re told to support by the kopite infested media machine.
not for nothing but that is a blessing. we would have been stuck with Silva instead of Carlo fn Ancelotti..

A little sample of the var in the A league,i watched both these,as i usually do,good hearing Ref interviewed and hearing the VAR etc [also in the todays footy part],

still not and never will be a fan of it,but its here to stay as they wont get rid of something thats only just been brought in,plus they never give the clear pic of how many are actually wrong and only make out thats they get a few wrong when its so many, many more

Great ending in the A league game a few mins ago,Adelaide 3-1 down going into injury time had 2 pens, one scored and one missed over the bar, though the 2 one is defo not a pen for me despite Ref watching both on his screen, the player conceeding on the 2nd pen lost his Rag and walked off before been forced back on,and even after the final whistle was mouthing off big time to refs etc

I think it's a small bunker just under the Kop stand mate.

Bottom line is 100% the truth.

VAR has been used in such a way here this season to hand Liverpool the title. There is not a shadow of a doubt about that. It's been weaponised, and the 13 point lead they have would be 1 or 2 points AT BEST if VAR were used the way it is in other top European leagues.

It's a shocking commercially driven move to guarantee Liverpool a title they could never win by fair play alone.

You do have to wonder. I remember during Liverpool's home win over city there seemed to be hardly any var checks done at all. Someone posted on here that he heard a rumour that the system wasn't working for that particular game. Not sure I believe that but I can see why some might think it.

All it needed to do was stop Man City.

It’s certainly making headlines and trending on social media and getting everyone involved with the sport talking about it.

That’s all I'm saying.

The goal Liverpool scored appears to be fine. It is amazing control from Lallana if he intends that pass for Mane with his shoulder, incredible skill, but it is not off his arm. Not sure why Wolves are unhappy about that. There's no evidence of a handball from any players.

The offside system is the annoying one because VAR cannot be so accurate with offsides. The images are not sharp enough and there aren't enough frames to capture an image from the precise moment the ball is played in order to draw the lines on. Somehow, some tolerance for errors needs to be built into that system. While I have sympathy with Wolves over the goal they therefore had chalked off, it's the same standard that VAR has applied for offsides all season. So the decisions VAR has made in this match would appear to be the correct ones.

Yeah the Liverpool.goal is one thing but that Wolves goal, it's not clearly offside, bit as you say they have others wrong so have to carry on with that standard.

That was in the build up to Liverpool's goal.

Has anyone gone back and checked how many times VAR has saved Liverpool this season? They've been spamming 1-0's for a while now. I don't feel like other teams have had as many decisions go their way as they have.

In the past it used to be pens but its VAR now.

In Tennis - they let the computer decide if its in or out, wouldn't it be fairer to do it that way instead of having four people squinting at the screen trying to decide if they can get away with giving Liverpool a goal.

The fairest way would be for the ref to decide if they need to use the replay or not, then when he goes to the TV monitor have it shown on the big screen so everyone can see it.
