It's killed the game. Wolves won that today no doubt.

If VAR is to continue I'd give teams 3 appeals to use it as they do in tennis........every single decision taking 5 minutes to sort is self defeating. There has to be an element of subjectiveness in this game. Look at the RS's back 4, not one raised an arm for offside.....then the tellymen rule it out for a fingernail. Carragher for once called it right on this occasion.

Is anyone keeping tabs on all these wrong var decisions and see who being punished the most. It would be interesting to do thos on here and update it as we go on

It seems most fans, managers and players have had enough of it.

Needs to be a proper consultation with managers about where to go with it.

Personally, it's easier to take an incorrect decision from a ref and move on than a dodgy call after a seven minute wait for someone in a studio 100 miles away to draw some arbitrary lines to random body parts.

Next season, keep goal line technology and bin the rest. Wipe 2019 - 20 season from the records.

Watching those two penalty shouts the Toon had yesterday, I'm astounded the Carroll one at least wasn't given.
I'm of the opinion that someone made a call to put right the Brighton penalty award against us.
It's corrupt I tell you.
Yeah, but then DCLs pen also has to be given. I don’t think Carroll’s or DCLs we’re pens. Potentially Keane’s, but I haven’t seen any good replays of that (genuinely can’t find any), but from the regular angle, could easily have been, but would have been soft.

It could easily be reformed to allow for fair officiating but no one is interested in that. I s tees ad they’ve basically decided to make the corruption so blatant that it will get canned and they can go back to fixing matches without the media storm that surrounds their VAR fixing.

I watch the Bundesliga where the system, with flaws, works more efficiently; that's because they have referees who make common sense decisions after viewing the monitors.

There is something VERY wrong this season here where refs are either discouraged or dont want to take up that option but instead allow 4 faceless drones in a video booth to make their sinister decisions.

Solution: ban VAR until refs make ALL important decisions. Better still, ditch VAR.

I think it wasn't given because Carroll looked like Bambi on Ice all afternoon and so he was never going to get it. Bit like Richy earlier in the season.

All clubs implementing big screen TVs showing the same replay to refs and fans alike with all referees microphoned up so that the fans can hear the call just like in Rugby Union. Nowhere to hide, and for that reason they’ll never do it. There’s still be a title race this season with level playing field officiating and we’d probably be knocking on the door of the European places. The money makers are not interested in a level playing field though. They want certainty of outcome to appease their armchair consumers the majority of whom support who they’re told to support by the kopite infested media machine.
