Yep.Portugal? To be honest the players ain't helping, so much potential here to get things wring without it in a game like this
It’s been all over the place in this Portugal game.
But alright in other games.
It just needs sorting out.
Christ. That was never a pen.
That's the first one definitely wrong.
Overall I've loved the dynamic it has brought. I'd rather this drama and get things right more often than not than the drama of having Pierluigi Collina randomly disallow a goal after being dragged out of retirement for one game.
Evertonians not wanting VAR is like a turkey voting for Christmas as far as I'm concerned.
A mate text me saying without VAR that game would have been crap. Which is true in a way!
All that needs fixing is the referee needs to understand that just because they're called to look at something doesn't mean they can't disagree with it.
That's the only issue.
VAR doesn’t make a positive enough difference to justify the absolute mess it makes at other times.
It doesn’t work in Football.
I don’t see what VAR brings to the game. I’m still seeing poor decisions, but in addition, I’m also seeing VAR not used when it should be (without explanation), and players/managers calling for VAR every time something doesn’t go their way.
It has helped to reverse several decisions correctly. Poor decisions are still going to happen because its still humans making the decisions but it will be much rarer when a wrong decision happens. Some incidents will be down to opinions but having VAR there for the clear and obvious errors (think when Sterling ran the ball a foot out of bounds against us in the cup a couple years ago) is nothing but beneficial. I'd happily have the occasional 1-2 minutes of stoppage if it means a critical wrong decision gets overturned.I don’t see what VAR brings to the game.
