If he can't get Van Buyten, tell Moyes to get Demichelis. In the Moyes mold as a vertsatile player who can play a few different positions well.

I liked him a lot when he played for city, how old is he now must be at least 30. Hes hard nut though!

Wasnt all that in his first season but his class came through in his second season.

Good player, not sure I'd rate him better then Yobo or Lescott. But as Neiler says...doesn't take any prisoners.

If he came on loan then it wouldnt be a bad move but that just sounds like an agent trying to talk up a move for a payday.

Jagielka, Lescott and Stubbs can play centre half for a month in Yobo's absence. Get Appiah/Arshavin instead.

Bruce im going to hold my hands up here and say i dont like Jags at centre back, the way i dont like Neville in the centre, im not saying hes crap but he doesnt have my confidence!

For me i think we need another centre half regardless of if/when stubbs comes back, priority number one for me in Jan.

Fair enough. Prior to the Arsenal game I think he was getting better, but both he and Yobo had stinkers in that game. I guess it depends on how Moyes sees Jagielka. If he brings in another centre back then it relegates him to 4th, maybe even 5th choice centre back. It's unlikely he's seen as a midfielder now and we have options at right back. It would effectively mean him left in the dark.

I actually like him in the centre Bruce and thats why im not one going mental for defensive central midfeilder!! I think Yobo good player and all that he is, is to prone to lapses in concentration and with that i think he needs an assured, experienced person in beside him keeping him on the ball, lescott or stubbs or a) another. For me Joey never turned in to commanding leadership figure at the back i thought he would and i really do feel more confident when there is that type of player beside him. Dont get me wrong i think hes a great defender but not the leader of the back four, if anything lescott, nevile and stubbs alternate this role depending on the game and tactics.

Still i think Jags for me isnt a centre half, he was found for pace against arsenal and again yesterday. Admittedly he had a great game again united, but i just think his positional play isnt what it should be for a natural centre half.

I was worried when we signed him that the label of a utility player would stick and he wouldnt really make a place in the team his own and at the moment that seems to be the case. But as i say i do like him in the carsley role and think he could do a job and develop into the team given games.
