Yeah, think you have that right. In order of preference of the seeded teams...Would prefer Qatar, Portugal (or if they lose whoever slots in), Argentina, England, Brazil, Belgium, France, and Spain...Really outside of Qatar it's not pretty, but Belgium, France, and Spain are awful matchups for different reasons.

Was thinking Portugal were Pot 2, but forgot about Italy. Crazy that a top 10 team failed to even qualify. Has that ever happened before?

Could be. No idea how to look up the rankings from that time, but considering they had reached the semis in both the ‘98 WC and ‘00 Euros, it’s likely they were still top ten at that point.

So for the draw Pot 1 is going to be hard unless we get Qatar. Pot 3 for me is relatively similar level teams but Tunisia and Iran are probably a bit easier than the others. Senegal is the one to avoid I think. Pot 4 I'd want to avoid Ecuador and Peru should they get through. Saudi Arabia and the Scotland/Ukraine/Wales winner are probably best.
