It is a weird situation though, Steffen got hurt in the first tournament this summer past and was replaced by Horvath instead of Turner who saved a penalty and won MotM against Mexico. But Horvath was between clubs so they made Turner the keeper for the second tournament and he was more or less the best player at the whole tournament. So he stepped up to #2 without Horvath even playing again and was still filling in for Steffen for some qualifiers and then just kind of got dropped for no reason. Now Steffen seems to be back for good but I'm not really sure he's better and as I said I don't like that he doesn't play.

I think this is the main issue, and one of legitimate concern.

We got lucky there. Arriola being alone behind the defense and only producing a free kick deep in midfield is on brand.

Turner wasn’t in the team. Ochoa was third choice for the nations league games. Turner is the best of the bunch for me. Gregg has favorites though, and having coached Steffen at Columbus, it’s not really a surprise he’s given preference.
