Juergen has personal experience with Rogers. He's there as a pacy late sub.

From that roster, it appears he will run the same 4-4-2 he ran with Germany, but with the overkill on CMs, he could try an experimental 3-5-2.

I think the most likely game day selection will be:

Howard
Dolo -- Goodson -- Boca -- Castillo
Donovan -- Torres -- Bradley -- Beasley
Adu(SS)
Buddle (ST)

Some folks are saying we'll see a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3. I'm leaning towards 4-2-3-1 myself:

Howard
Dolo - Goodson - Boca - Pearce
Bradley - Jones
Donovan - Adu - Shea/Beasley
Agudelo/Buddle

I'm good, thanks. Nah, I couldn't. I was at UMD.

How are you? Hope you're staying safe there in London.

Aww, too bad.. I was sorry to miss it as well.

I'm good, thanks :) There were rioters on my doorstep the other day but it's quieted down now. I'm going to the match Saturday if it's still on, fingers crossed.

Jeez, I hope it's still on for your sake. Stay safe :)

I think Brek Shea just gave himself a huge leg up for future National Team call ups.

He was really good.

Agree! Game completely changed with the speed and possession of Aguedelo and the presence of Shea.

US was so dominant in the last 20 minutes that theres no doubt Mexico has to feel lucky with the draw, even dominating possession in the first half like they did.

I know that peeps are dissing Castillo, and he wasn't great, but at least he was mostly in position, unlike Bornstien. I think I was most happy with the back line not looking completely awful like they did in the Gold Cup. Mexico's goal was complete luck and I didn't really think they threatened all that much.

I think ref was poor and now Klinsy knows the ref issues we will be facin in CONCACAF. I would give Castillo another game. First game with Nats in a couple years, against Mexico....nerves are bound to be an issue. However he needs to put on some weight.

Shea and Agudelo look like the future of our attack. Hopefully Klinsy can help these two mature into more dangerous offensive threats.

Brek Shea looked un-friggen-believable last night. He was spot on, making chances, getting into space, making runs. I couldn't have asked for anything more from the kid. The complexion of the game changed when Shea and Agudelo came on. Agudelo made a few of those 18 year old mistakes, some of which could've meant a goal. But even when he made those mistakes, he still created a chance, and that's something the US hasn't had. A striker that makes chances on his own.

I'm really excited to see the lineup when Holden comes back in, Shea keeps playing at a high level and Dempsey is included. I mean, who do you drop?

When playing weaker teams this coming cycle, I'd like this to be the lineup.

--------------Howard----------------
Chandler--Boca--Gonzalez/Ream--Lichaj
Dempsey-------Torres------------Shea
---------Holden----Donovan----------
-----------Agudelo/Altidore-----------
