Usmanov

If Usmanov does ever get involved with Everton, I hope it's significantly to do with the stadium. Due to the FFP scam he wouldn't be able to come in and do an Abramovic anyway.

I'd expect Moshi can figure out his way around FFP well enough, being that he's a successful accountant.

Also, not sure what tax laws are like in UK/Monaco/Isle of Man, but unless it's specifically prohibited I'd be surprised if he and Usmanov don't talk some business every time they meet so it's classed a tax deductible meeting.

If he isnt here or doing a crazy name sponsorship deal for BMD within 12 months of BMD planning permission being granted I doubt it will ever happen.

No I agree and FFP has only made it harder to reach the teams with an already established finance stream...but I was just picturing the fume. It would be glorious!!

Doesn’t FFP just affect Europe? (I don’t know enough about it to be honest). I’d take just winning the league every year

I'm no expert mate but I think the punishment ranges from being banned from European comps to points deductions to fines...I think. Either way beat not to get the wrath of UEFA ... we'd end up with Collina reffing all our games !!

I get that FFP definitely limits things but, regardless of the ethics of it.......

The plus of a really rich owner is he can have a chat with his friend, agree to have his company sponsor their stadium for 200 million, while his billionaire friend has his company sponsor his stadium for 200 million. That way both have a net spend of 0, and can instead spend that 200 million on transfers etc. The other way it to do something like spend 100 million in marketing and sales that will only produce 95 million in increased commercial revenue. Practically, as a business, thats very poor return. But for the team, they can then spend it all per FFP rules.

The way to get around FFP is sponsorships, commercial revenues etc, and there are ways for billionaires to indirectly inject cash through that.

Im watching Gold Rush on Discovery Channel & when some of them find a teeny tiny spec of gold they whoop & cheer like thier lives are going to change.
Usmanov could probably produce a higher gold yield from his turds.

I’m looking forward to us signing Joao Felix on 10 grand a week whilst Megafon pay him a retainer of 200k per week just in case they require any promotional work from him sometime.
