Usmanov

There set up isn't too bad to be honest.

The north and west stand have a capacity of 9,000 each. If they can redevelop the east and south stand to hold 12,000 each. They are looking at a 42,000 stadium.

Location is near canary wharf. Spend 80m on transfers to get them to the prem, hire someone like mendes like wolves have to get them some good deals.

I doubt he will win the league, but it shouldn't be too hard to become a top 10 team.

The Mirror has even less credibility than The Echo, whatever club Usmanov ends up buying you won't read it there first. The little dig 'rather than Everton' shows up the comment and its author for what they are......RS

Did Darren tell you this at the match last week
For a RS supporter you know a lot about Charlton
Next time you are in the loft extension with Darren tell him Usmanov doesn’t do top 10 , his sights are set higher than that

Ah, look who joined the party, the ol’ red Echo.

They refer to The Mirror story, of course, as if they’d do any proper journalistic work. Doesn’t stop them putting out a snippet to make it seem like he’s bid for them to get them clicks, though.

Absolutely hate that rag of a local paper. We should ban it.

They couldn't even get what games Richarlison would miss through suspension right after possibly copying an incorrect report on the BBC.

That's absolutely disgraceful for a local paper meant to be concentrating all its resources on local teams, no checks whatsoever just copy without question.

It's pure fantasy to believe Usmanov invests his cash in Everton.

I understand the desperation for it: it's tied up with forlorn hopes that the BMD scheme will come to fruition.

I think whats pure fantasy mate, is to think journalists who have got just about everything wrong about the story from the start suddenly have got their finger on the pulse.

The FT and Bloomberg are far more credible sources than tabloid newspapers and The Echo. Particularly if you are looking at investment information.

I've posted on this before so I'm not going round in circles, while it's be no means very likely or certain it remains a possibility, to think otherwise is naive imo.

Exactly, as if Darren Lewis is breaking big stories on Usmanov

It's highly unlikely Usmanov tips up here. And that's being generous.

80m on transfers for a midtable league one side is a tad optimistic.
How much would the redevelopments cost?
Someone like Mendes? Who?
Is it guaranteed to be successful?
Wolves are getting lots of plaudits but they've only won one game and were quite lucky by all accounts. It's still not too early to say they won't get relegated.
Also what's the point in becoming a top 10 team? What's the draw there? Especially when it would take about 5 years and anything other than successive promotions would have massive FFP implications. So 80m on transfers, £200m (?) on the redevelopments.....and not even guaranteed to be out of League 1 tbh.
It's a non-starter quite honestly.

Less optimistic on him coming here now but Charlton is an awful, awful shout.
