Yes Keith Harris, support "could" mean advice or moral support - thanks for that nugget of information.

It's far more likely to mean financial investment with a guarantee of a huge return.

I think the esk has put together a very credible account in his last blog of where we're at finances-wise. I'd urge others to read it.

Read it mate. He has consistently refuted the idea of usmanov even remotely investing in Everton, he did and he back tracked slightly, he then consistently insisted that usmanov would not sell his shares in arsenal, especially not to kronke, he did and now he still holds the view it's not happening. To be honest for all I like his blogs, the reality is he is guessing like the rest of us.

He knows as much about mine or your finances as he does Evertons Dave... behave sunshine x

I dont know how the esk has such a bad reputation. He knows more than most here about finances and football clubs and how they can tweak their data to place cash flow into this category rather than that category in order for it to read the way they wish, and how they can stagger payments/forward them from one financial year to the next to create a narrative they wish to present.

He doesn't critique Everton from a hostile viewpoint either, he just presents what he perceives they are doing and what the likely development's will be. But it's an unpredictable game and that leaves plenty of ammunition for detractors to call him out as "lying" and "being clueless".

It doesn’t really Mata anyway ... Witsel to buy if we listened to esk

I've dealt with this mate. the esk cant forsee geo-political decisions (which this falls into). He can look at Usmanov from a football decision making perspective only.

People believed everything he said regarding transfers for a while but then none of it came true. So now they don’t trust him.

Made an arse of my reply mate... Totally agree. And his blogs on the funding are a great insight into the financial runnings of a club and where there money comes from, he clearly has some inside knowledge of the club but I fear on this issue his refusal to entertain the point, despite his clearly softening stance will negatively impact upon his creditability.

I seem to recall that Moshiri has 49% of the shares and when work starts on the stadium he has an option to purchase the majority of the rest of the shares.

If Usmanov is coming on board then I would think that happens when work actually starts on the stadium when the share option can be realised.
The most probable guess of the timeline with the usual caveats of if this is actually happening or not. Wouldn't make much sense for him to come in if we were stuck at Goodison after another failed ground move. Once things begin to concretize (is this what a pun is?) on the ground we'll see him sashay his way down the ramp off his yacht and onto the dock.

Funny that in the good times he was seen as an oracle; then when the first summer slipped by without a raft of signings and Mourinho in the dugout everything he's said has been ridiculed.

Your answer was given hours ago.
