He’s so cock sure isn’t he the Esk about this isn’t he.

Love it if he was wrong but I doubt he is
Wasn't he keeping us updated on the American takeover all the way through it? I believe he gets info, I also believe he gets lied to

Obviously a nice fella and wouldn't knowingly lie to fellow blues, but I reckon The Esk saying this ain't happening is an indicator that it might be if anything

Maybe esk knows all about usmanov coming but he's not supposed to / tell anyone so he's trying to divert all attention away from it as to not raise expectations in case it fails

... Taps nose.

He has been wrong on several previous occasions

He's ended up being wrong on several occasions when it came to telling us which players were 'ours' ie. itk-ness - and he got caught out (or was badly informed). However tbf his personal views on why he believes something or other will happen are usually spot on.

As has been said on here though, he hangs himself out to dry by being so adamant about them.

Either Usmanov will come or not. There isn't any ambiguty about it, it's a clear line.

After the exchange of bids last year and his statement it was a completely different position to what he's had previously of never ever selling.

So regarding the Esk's ITKness all it would take little movement by Usmanov for him to then completely change his opinion on the situation. He's done it numerous times before.

His tweet regarding Kroenke's attitude as 'utter rubbish' is well utter rubbish. Kroenke wants to own Arsenal completely, it's been made clear numerous times, he needs 100% ownership to have no minor opposition so he can probably incorporate in Delaware. Now whether he acheives that by clearing out Usmanov in 1 bid or picking up the other shares 1 by 1 until he has them all bare Usmanov and AST then gunning for them, then he'll do it what ever way.

Remember when he said Usmanov could never invest or look to sponsor the club, it wouldn't be allowed nor would he do it.

Then he did it.

Why do people want this Usmanov bloke? He's dodgy as sin.
I think because we are all fed up being also-rans with limited of chance of actually getting back to being the club that we were for most of our history. I am sure Abramovich at Chelsea and the UAE lot at Man City have got some skeletons in the cupboard and it does not seem to concern their fans too much as they pick up trophy after trophy. I absolutely know that LFC fans wouldn't care a jot if Usmanov bankrolled them to the PL title. They'd be sneering at us even more than usual and of course it wouldn't be down to the investment, just that they are LFC and therefor entitled to it; better than everybody else / biggest club in the world!
