Has anyone come up with a plausible reason as to why he isn't already here

Like many other posters I think if he's going to invest here (which I'm not sure will happen) it won't be till the stadium is sorted. If he's going to throw in hundreds of millions at the club he wants his project to be new and shiny and competing on a world stage.

I think he needs to re-think that timescale otherwise the team playing in his shiny new project ain’t going to be competing on a world stage.

It really would be putting the cart before the horse happen he wasn’t going to invest on the pitch before watching an inferior team playing in a state of the art stadium.

That said, I make you right about his arrival not happening.

The man is 64.....if he was interested he would be hurrying things along.....not stalling or waiting for things which are four or five years down the pike.

I'm sure he will leave his best bud a few billion in his will though!

Usmanov will takeover Everton from his grave, genius of a man.

Why would Usmanov buy into Everton? He's a businessman. He can throw all sorts of money at Everton to further his USM brand and continue to tick of Kroenke. He has proxy control via Mosh and any time he wants, Mosh would probably set aside and let Usmanov take over.
