Usmanov

I don't get the argument that he was just an accountant. Has it occurred to people that a) he might have been rewarded because he was a major cause of Usmanov's success over the years, and b) smart businessmen employ smarter businessmen around them - we now have one of these oh and c) an accountant of a Russian oligarch is not your local chap in an office off the High St. He is a major player in high finance. Just a pointless argument.
I remember reading an article that The accountant qualification is the most prominent qualification amongst FTSE100 directors. As you say don't get the arguement his is just an accountant.

Can't view it in work. Copy-paste please?
The offer is reportedly worth £28,000 per share, some £525m in total, and as I explained in this post it would be a bad thing for Arsenal on a number of levels. The Arsenal Supporter’s Trust have urged Usmanov not to sell, saying:

The AST continues to believe that Arsenal is too important to be owned by any one person. The best ownership model for Arsenal will always include supporters being represented and involved in the ownership structure as shareholders. We understand the reality that any stake in Arsenal is available to buy at any time should someone make an acceptable bid, but we will oppose any attempt to buy the club outright and take it into single ownership.

28K a share and Bill got 5K a share for his.
I wonder what Moshiri will sell his for

In defence of ESK, he does not claim to be ITK about Usmanov. He is using his experience and knowledge of football finance to make a judgement call. When someone, writes a piece, backed up by as much background knowledge and as convincing as ESKs, Im listening, but for now he makes a convincing argument.

He has i believe absolutely ZERO knowledge of football finance except what any lay person can easily read up and familiarise themselves with over a few hours.

His knowledge is about business (as i believe he is/has been a business owner in the past) he understands finance - but that is a far far way to understanding the motives and mentality of Russia's richest person.

His background knowledge consists of speculation and very rarely contains a balanced view at the alternative reasons for something - they are simply brushed aside, he appeared on the futbolgrad podcast with these views a whilst back and they have an actual football correspondent on it with an in depth knowledge of Russian football and the ways they operate - the guy held a completely contradictory view to Esk, esk basically brushed off the blokes 'informed' opinions and kept repeating his mantra.

By the way two cornerstones of his convooncing argument and statements he has made are.

Usmanov will not be involved with Everton - the USM sponsorship deal, Usmanov owns USM - thus he is involved now
Kroenke would 100% never ever offer Usmanov a way out and would have zero interest in obtaining full control - he has bid and he obviously wants full control by making the bid.

His opinion on this has already now been absolutely shredded to pieces.

I reckon once the stadium is announced then Bill will step down looking like the chairman who deliverd the ground move, allowing Usmanov to come in buying his shares and sun tan bobs and the other one forget his name, abercrombie or something

So from my fantasy erm.. penny's worth the ground is about to be announced or Stan krone has forced Usmanors hand before they where ready

Just get your arse over here Ali lad

Isn't his whole credibility in tatters though? I'm not talking about the in the know stuff but he was completely certain that Kroenke would never offer Usmanov a way out but he just has! His judgment in these matters has been found to be woeful in my opinion, whatever happens.

If Usmanov sells, you will be proved right, however the offer made is considered way under what shares are worth, so it is a serious offer?
