My own opinion is that I really don't think Usmanov is coming on board for a few reasons and see this deal as strategy rather then anything. I think the best we can hope for are a few sweet heart deals of this nature and while I do believe Usmanov and Moshiri are working collectively to an extent I dont see him leaving Arsenal.

And as proven, he doesnt need to leave Arsenal to "invest" in Everton.

It's fairly unedifying seeing wpeople frothing at the mouth with excitement that the club they support and place some amount of their character into is about to be taken over by a man who has suppressed critical articles about him and his friend, has alleged connections to the Russian Mafia, was imprisoned for fraud...

Tbh, I hitherto thought the prospect that Usmanov had merely used Moshiri to park his cash was fanciful. Now with this development it becomes less so.

I'm not saying Moshiri IS a proxy owner, but I wouldn't be amazed if he was - such are the connections between them and the obvious seniority of Usmanov in that relationship.

What's the alternative ?

Silly post regardless, they're not celebrating Usmanov the man taking us over. They're celebrating his money.

It's not his riches that bother me.

Well, it is quite likely that he will not bother us at all.
