Usmanov

Started reading this thread last night and like everyone else was ecstatic abut the Usmanov story, went to bed on about page 34 ( I think ) totally deflated with the thought that it was deemed a fake story, logged on this morning and now it looks like the story is no fake. So without looking through the thread is the story fake or totally legit is it in todays Guardian.

What's in it for Usmanov though? As a sponsor, can he really make £75m back through commercial revenue?

I would think the situation would be that USM pays us, Moshiri then waves the rights to pick up what he would have in normal circumstances as a share holder.

USM may actually sponsor us but I guess it would be a lot less than the actual 75m figure.

This then allows Moshiri to spend some of his own money circumventing FFP rules, boosting the image so eventually we can pull in the big money sponsors.

What seems likeliest as to the shirt sponsor then - USM Holdings, MegaFon, or Metalloinvest?

Where are the links with Gazprom coming from?

I reckon the shirt sponsor will be USM, Megafon or Metalloinvest...

At least we will get the Steel cheap for our new Stadium!!

Happy Happy days!!

I stand by what i said initially mate, i just don't think those two would split completely over such a long held ambition, flies against everything there relationship ahs been and apparently still is. may not be today or tomorrow, but eventually i think Usmanov will come on board, but at a time of his choosing after Moshiri has done all the grafting and got everything in place - Stadium/reorganizing the clubs infrastructure/commercial deals etc. Until then it looks like he's found a way around FPP in order to help out in that process

I'd say Usmamov is keeping his options open. If he wants to stay with Arsenal, he can, but if he fancies a change, there's a comfy chair waiting for him.

In the meantime he's helping out a mate in a manner which, if he ever chooses to make the move, will have helped grow us and potentially make us more successful than we would otherwise be, so you could argue he's looking after something which he might invest in at a later date.

The length of the Finch Farm deal may be significant and almost certainly means there is no plan for him to come to us in the next five years ( because he'd then be sponsoring his own club ).

Five years may also be significant when you think about how long it might take to get a ground built and opened at Bramley Moore.

Equally it could just be a mate doing a favour.

No that is a fraudulent act, they are too smart for that

Are people not just putting 2 and 2 together here? Moshiri has shares in the company so what does it have to do with usmanov?

I own a few shares mate but I'd struggle to get the companies involved to pay for to sponsor my house .

Moshiri doesn't exactly have a controlling influence there , he's a minority shareholder by some distance . It seems clear any decision hasn't been made by him .
