If our shirt sponsor is USM then I think that means Usmanov will end up coming onboard...basically a 2 fingers to Kroenke.

On the other hand, if (and @bluestevon will know more) the steel company becomes the sponsor i can see us getting an amazing stadium with them using it to advertise what they can do globally....

If we had a y sponsorship from Gazprom then it would be usmanov signifying intent to come on board. Gazprom he doesn't own, but the company wouldn't exist as such without him, he rebuilt and retrieved all there assets which had been stolen, the current runner of it was his handpicked successor as are basically the entirety of the board.

Whilst I'm still positive about the progress made by Moshiri's administration, the canny timing of releasing this information a day after the AGM to avoid fan questions raises a few question marks myself.

It was absolutely brilliant timing mate, released just late enough to avoid all the questions about usmanov and the bending and manipulating rules on fpp, absolute masterstroke the way we played this info release

usmanov is directly or indirectly strengthening Everton by 'sponsoring' huge amounts of money to us.

considering we are in direct competion with arsenal in the premier league and cup competitions means he is clashing his interests.

why on earth would he want to do that.

This what I don't understand.

I could totally get him doing his friend Moshiri a favour by buying his Red & White Holdings shares so he could 'go it alone' at Everton. But then to allow him to use the name of USM for sponsorship is a bit odd given Usmanov is the biggest shareholder in that company. But like I said it's big enough for them to probably not even care about what money a few £10m they spend and Moshiri's share in USM is worth a few bob in itself.
