Probably being thick, but if the shirt sponsor deal is 3x greater than now, that would mean a max of 16 mil give or take. Are we sure that the shirt deal is 5 years
3 year ×16 mil is 48mil add 20 mil reported for USMFF gives 68 mil then other commercial deal (sleeve) on a long term deal for 7m gives 75 mil and Elstone was telling the truth...

There is a flaw in this isn't there?

As said elsewhere, 300% increase = 4x

£75 million whilst not earth shattering is still a huge increase even if it is for shirt and training ground sponsorship. They can't be bang on and inflate the commercial deals to 10 times their real value, in order to get round if they've been clever and incorperated Finch Farm.

I'd expect a similar deal for naming rights for a new ground to follow. (And no doubt the steel used will come at next to nothing given Moshiri & Usmanovs business interests )

if we are naming finch farm, then we will defo be naming goodison, afterall we are going to be here for the next 4/5 years whatever happens.

even if its £20m a year, theres a potential £100m to be made of that

edit: as we own goodison, does that mean we cant 'sponsor' it ??

Yes, some people seem to be forgetting that A. it was stated very clearly that the shirt deal is a 300% increase, with the current deal being somewhere around 5.5 million, and B. That revenue is projected to be 50 million higher next year WITHOUT any ticket sale increases. So no, the new shirt deal is not 11 million. Thats just bad math. And yes, the people who carefully crafted the presentation know how to count. That means this is not just a simple one deal, 75 million, 5 years.

I have mixed feelings on this.Money talks and on a financial level this deal is great for the club and the future possibility of Usmanov coming on board as an investor is great financially speaking. It looks this club is going to have a lot of money to help us achieve our dreams.Perhaps im being silly here but a part of me doesn't feel so good about this.Maybe with it's human rights violations and all that the thought of Russian money being pumped into the club does make me a little queasy in the stomach. The thought of Everton turning into a Russian sugar daddys play thing doesn't sit well with me at all.But i guess money is money and that is something we need plenty of.

The Echo, 1960. If it can happen once, it can happen again.
