it makes no business sense whatsoever to be indirectly involved with two premier league clubs.

I'd disagree on that.

I think it makes a lot of sense for someone who can't have any real influence at Arsenal to politely push his toe towards the table at Everton.

If Usamnov is indirectly involved with Everton with this sort of deal it means if he ever decides to sell up at Arsenal, but still wants to be involved with a footie club, then he's cemented a working relationship with someone he already knows and trusts extremely well.

That doesn't mean he's going to sell up at Arsenal. He may even be using us a bit to try and influence the situation at Arsenal.

Getting USM as a sponsor is huge, will hopefully attract other huge sponsors. As has previously been said we only have a small number of Sponsors compared to the top 6. Definitely a step in the right direction

Time to be serious here: NOT FAKE. Can stop wetting the bed now.

Shouts are just a classic GOT windup lads, similar mould to Chris Brunt and Kenwyne Jones. However we definitely are being invested into by Usmanov and co. and we definitely are winning the league soon.

Bed wetting is serious and stopping isn't as easy as you suggest

£11mill a year shirt sponsorship deal in the Sky era is not such an eye watering amount that you think something shady is going on. That could be from an outside sponsor.

Anyway I thought the only reason Usmanob could sponsor Finch Farm is because the council owned it - surely he couldnt sponsor our shirts?
Lighten up, mate.

It isn't often we have anything to be happy about.

its very subjective, there are lots of reasons for doing this and that. BUT to actively sponsor another premier league team?? its unheard of woolly.

With Spurs already earning 20 million a year from just shirt sponsorship we still have a long way to go.
Indeed but with Usmanov backing us from afar we have a realistic chance of bridging that gap.
In fact, if Usmanov was inclined to be a benefactor like Abramovitch we'd certainly bridge it and go well beyond.
No reason to assume that's Usmanov's intention but whatever the case it appears we're in a stronger financial position than we've been in in decades.

Great if not ;)
Everton Football Club has confirmed a naming rights partnership with USM Holdings which will see the Russian-based group become the Club’s first ever training ground partner. The initial five-year deal, commencing in January 2017, will see the Halewood training ground renamed USM Finch Farm.

Aside from the naming and branding of the training ground, USM will also benefit from a set of global marketing rights including presence on media interview backdrops, LED advertising at Goodison Park on matchdays, VIP hospitality and player access for brands within the group.

This new deal puts us to £11mill a season.
More than double the shirt sponsorship if accurate (not 300% claimed but big jump).
That means £4m per season for FF if your figures are correct. Haven't seen that published anywhere.
