Usmanov

He quite clearly cannot be involved, it is against Premier League rules.

Usm is completely controlled by usmanov mate, usm is apparently now sponsoring our training ground, having its companies advertisements all around goodison, and will be paying as much as they can get away with funnelling into the club without breaking rules.

How is that usmanov not being involved? Also how does it tally with Tue stated stance about Russian companies being unwilling to a sponsor foreign teams in the future (sure you stated that)?

Unless I'm mistaken hugely mate, you also disagreed with me that usm would invest/sponsor the club when we where having a lot of debates over usmanov, and where quite adamant about that as well.

Usmanov will not have any involvement in the club was your stance I believe, as of today, he is involved now.

To be fair to @The Esk mate a quick look in the vaults finds

The Mersey Metalloinvest Stadium ?

Actually an interesting point whether or not these companies could sponsor the stadium given Usmanov's interest in them and Arsenal - I doubt we could do so.

Yes, but that's ok as long as it passes the commercial value test - the issue with us would be Usmanov having an effective financial interest in two PL clubs.

So, he wasn't categorically saying this sort of thing wouldn't happen, just that he had serious doubts about the viability of the idea.

Anyway, while vaulting and being right on the internet is fun, it's probably more productive to be happy about the actual news itself !

That's pretty much my understanding too.

Assuming this isn't the greatest photoshop con ever ( where is @Prevenger17 btw ? ), then the relevant people in Moshiri's team will have checked this very carefully and will be extremely confident that the deal will be ratified by the authorities.

Sorry, it's a photoshop. Honestly didn't think with get this out of hand

Fair enough mate, I was going from memory about convesrsations - the vault doesn't lie though :)

If it's fake how come some newspapers are reporting it?? Even has a quote from Elstone... can't link the paper

Everton chief executive Robert Elstone said: “We are pleased to welcome USM. It is an exciting deal.”
