Us having the ref on our side for a derby

You know that foul in the middle of the pitch that does nothing as the ball was with us anyway? Yes, that was dodgy but given for Everton.

You know that two-footed tackle/assault that was against an Everton player that wasn't even a foul? Or that penalty they got, even though you could see it's a dive from Mars? Or the red for an Everton player for a foul which wasn't even close to being a foul? These decisions usually go against Everton.

i cant post links but if you go to you tube and search 'the goal that never was' 3rd one down is the most blatant i can recall but there are many

Oh and as for the actual question, I can honestly say that Liverpool get the "rub of the green" by quite some distance.

To the OP - ask your Kopite mate to name just three major decisions that have gone Evertons way in a derby. Go back as far as 1945 if you want, it doesn't really matter as he'll struggle to name one.

Conversely, I could rattle off ten game-changing decisions that have gone Liverpool's way in the last fifteen to twenty years alone.

"In 76 years, Everton have been awarded just 1 penalty at Anfield. Meanwhile, Liverpool have been given 23 at Goodison Park"

Bit of a joke that. I'll throw that statistic around a fair bit.

Pretty much this. Obviously we have some decisions go our way. But the big ones tend to be in their favour.

I was having a chat with a red mate of mine, who claims we've had our fair share of decisions go our way in derbies that really shouldn't have. I really can't think of any, he couldn't name any specifics - I pointed out that there were no major ones that I could think of.

But has there been any players who should have been sent off, and they got away with it? or anything similar.

Cloud Cuckoo land, rose tinted glasses, - I could go on but you get the picture

Aye, remember that one, dirty ugly [Poor language removed] (kuyt) on Neville in the clottenburg Derby

All the MOTD pundits were behind us that day, saying how the refereeing was awful and in shock how we didn't get a penalty and kuyt managed to stay on the pitch
