upcoming films

The cinemas may be open but people just aren't going in any major numbers. Black Widow has made £13.8m in the UK in 3 weeks. Spider-Man Far From Home which released at the same time but in 2019 made £14.1m in its opening week. Obviously you would expect Spider-Man to do better but not by that much.

They may as well hold it off a bit and release it when the numbers have picked up. From the articles on it they seem to be suggesting it will get a cinema release, they're just not sure when. From the trailers it looks like the sort of film which should be seen in the cinema if possible.

Guessing your figures there are wrong if £300k is massive swing?

I dunno, I've been going loads and seen plenty of busy screenings, in fact Quiet Place twice I went to go and it was sold out.

Oh sorry misread. Yeh I mean cinemas are quiet but I don't think they're going to get any busier; people don't go as much anyway these days. Can see it being sold off on Prime or NowTV.
Definitely seems to be the most sensible option at the moment. I do hope it gets at least a limited release at some point though. Would much prefer to see it at the cinema

Yeh I mean Godzilla etc. were released eventually. I like the accessibility of watching it on my TV when I want but like you say big screen wins hands down.

Don't think there have been an 'event' movies released yet to see what the future holds.
Maybe after Bond or Dune the industry will know what's going on.

thoughts? jordan peele is involved and his films tend to be quite good i.e. Get Out and Us

fun fact he is married to Gina Linetti from Brooklyn Nine-Nine

I recently re watched the original, and still dont like it, but a feeling this one is going to be really good, looking forward to it
