The way you are talking, its like we have been a great side and this season our football has become terrible. i hate to break this to you but our football has been sh1te for a very long time!. i have been watching Everton for 30 years and lads like edge and foxy a lot longer. its not like we have decided to bail out at the first sight of trouble.

No its not. And I know that, but why can't people remain loyal? It wasn't edge I was questioning, I saw Jamo Martinez above and have seen loads of people post saying they ain't going back til we improve, that's not loyal, that's not being a true fan.

And I did put 'just' in bold as I understand some people mightn't be able to renew.. this season our average gate must be about 32k, and that's being 7th in the league, it was higher when we battled relegation. The club needs freshening up, and in my opinion Moyes has taken us as far as HE can, because he has a NO LOSE mentality, rather than a winning one.

No offence but people who say they aren't going back just due to the fact we're ****e, then don't bother turning up when we're winning.
i have been there when were worse than now, and will go the games when its on my terms in future, we have had winning streaks like just before the final ,they didnt come back and arnt showing any sign of doing it in future.fairweather isnt a term you can call any everton fan we really havnt had any long unbroken spells of winning things to be lucky enough to be in that club.If your happy go its up to you, me i have just decided to change the terms on how i offer my support no longer going just because i always have, blind loyalty or whatever, its up to the club to get the likes of me back, show me were moving forward and actually do more than talk about and i might get back in the habit ,before i like loads of others just dont bother not because were ****e but for many reasons each person has there own i have mine.

Right put all this into perspective, recent times. £2.4m net spend per year over last ten years.

Last five years League positions 6th 5th 5th 8th 7th and should finish 7th or thereabouts this season
1 FA Cup Final
2 FA Cup Semi Finals

Our net spend is lower than Wolves and they are to be relegated, Middlesbrough spent more than us net and so have Birmingham, look where they are. More importantly even though I do not believe in DMs tactics he has managed to get a reasonable team together on limited funds. Lets be honest and brutal here there is NO chance in the next few years we are going to see Bill sell up we have put up this long so lets just get on with it.

We have a nucleus of players that could take us that bit further that we crave Fellaini, Baines, Jagielka, Heitinga, Rodwell, Velios (believe in this kid) Duffy, Barkley, Coleman (in time) and...

.....Jelavic, in the last 20 years I have often pondered when we were going to get a natural goalscorer to replace Cottee etc because lets be honest its been a while Big Dunc is a legend but is he a legend because he scored against Utd a few times and was nuts or because we didnt really have much else to shout about? I really believe that with a natural goalscorer like Jelavic it can play a massive difference to the whole club, who knows Moyes might realise and play some attacking football!

I am not saying I am happy, I am just looking at the positives. There are some good coaches recruited to EFC over the last few years, give youth a chance Barkley, Velios etc and see what happens. On one hand I do agree its time for managerial change but on the other hand it would be easier if he just changed his tactics and we can save the hassle of listening to Bill saying he interviewed Mourinho but decided on bringing Howard back because "he knows the club"

To all the fans that are still moaning, think about where you were last saturday morning and what you were doing, me I had my first pint at 8am followed by singing as loud as I could, yes the day didnt turn out perfect but get over it we have got a game on sunday!!!

If all else fails..........

The gates are low because the football is so bad, improve the football and people will come back. people will not pay a lot of money to watch a team play defensive negative, hoofing football. loyal or not this is a fact.

I dont think we have much to be un-happy about tbf... Dissapointed yeah.. Un-happy, not really.

If the season was too end today with a semi at wembley and a 7th place finish. Could we really be demanding anymore given our squad and investment??

Theres things to be disapointed about sure, just like there is at every other club in the league but come on...

Things aint that bad in the scale of things!

I disagree.

We all know that if this squad is capable of sitting in seventh right now, then it should be higher up the table.

We saw the shambles of QPR on the opening day and the insipid displays against Stoke and Bolton ay home to name but two.

And whilst if someone had said to us last August that we would go out the Cup in a Wembley semi final we would have said "OK....a good Cup run and a day out to Wembley is good", non one, but no one, was prepared for that shambles on Saturday when we arrived there.

And therein lies your problem.

This season will de defined by two games in this past month.

At Anfield and at Wembley.

And both those games have left a very sour taste in the mouth and have led to a massive dis-connect between the manager and the fans.

I must say I am extremely upset with Moyes now. But definitely haven't "had it" with Everton. I saw a long article on Toffeeweb about how some guy has now stopped being an Evertonian and a few posters agreed with him.

Isn't supporting a club about the lows as much as highs? Sure there has been a long period of lows... but that makes victory that little bit sweeter.

Giving up on Everton is surely glory-hunting Kopite behaviour.

Not everyone can be champion every year. I am as unhappy as the next guy after the weekend we had. However even the top clubs have issues and blips on the radar screen. The losses to the ****e hurt a lot though. With aging players and no money to replace them it's going to be tough unless we get some real investment. I am not so much worried about now as I am about the future. If we can keep some of our youth prospects great. Not sure we can though.

I will say that any supporter that stops being a supporter based on recent performances are not needed. Teams go through rough patches. Can't be on top forever, but the club and the players need the fans support. Pulling away because you are disgusted with recent form would leave most of the clubs in BPL with no fans. Your either an Evertonian or your not. If not don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.
