So, the full time whistle goes on the 22nd May 2011. You glance at the league table. What would you regard as underachievement?

I'd go with

4th - Miraculous.
5th - Good.
6th or 7th - Satisfactory.
8th or 9th - Poor.
10th and lower - Disastrous.

4th - Improbable so wouldnt comment
5th - See above.
6th or 7th - Very Surprised.
8th or 9th - About right.
10th and lower - Will look forward to summer and eying up the money we'll get for players sold in the transfer window.

Sadly and I know its only 5 games in, but I would snatch somebodys hand off for 7th at the moment.

This may change if we actually win a League game anytime soon.

ATM, 7th or 8th is realistic. It's hard to prejudge the season - experience says that a cup run or Derby win can change things. The early signs look bad though.

need to win the next 4 on the bounce.

huge games.

if we get to 10 games and we are still in the relegation zone it's going to be one of those utter shyte seasons that I thought Moyes had got out of his system. 39 points anyone?

Yeah, i'd echo all of those.

Perhaps, it's time we accept, that perhaps all of those teams are now a lot better than us. Spurs, Citeh, even the [Poor language removed] are still bettter than us.

Perennial bottlers. I hate it.

Theres only 2 teams I rate more than us, Arse and Chelsea and for sure on our day we can smash these everywhere.

I aint having it that the [Poor language removed] are anyway near us, awful, awful side.

I used to think like that. Heck, 2 days ago I was of the same opinion. So therefore we lose.

If I think we're crap, we'll obviously go on a 30 game unbeaten run

I'll be delighted with anything inside the top 10 on the first few games peformance. Signings like Gueye, Beckford and Mucha are not what I'd expect to see lead us into Europe like..

Really disappoints me that people believe we should accept mediocrity, or that teams like Spurs and Villa are better than us. I won't have it.

I understand transforming potential into success is not easy, but why should we be giving ourselves this opinion that we are an average side? We are a very good side, capable of doing some great things - they are just not allowed to do it. No risks are taken, nobody is saying try this or try that. There is no dimensions being allowed to shine, and that I'm afraid is down to the manager who insists on playing the percentages and will not allow this side to be what it can be.

Boys, like it or not. David Moyes is the problem. Thing is, he has the potential also, he just prefers to see Everton into top half finishes as job done.

They still have winners that can take the game by the scruff though....

Which this years derby in a few weeks will probably prove as it always has the past couple of seasons.

I don't think it has anything to do with being a good player. It's all about reputation, and this stigma and dare I say it, bitterness that Everton just can't seem to shake off.

We have an incredible lack of self-belief, so much so that the manager has to come out and say it - which I find ludicrous. I believe it's not just with the players, its throughout. Manager, directors, tea ladys, fans. We all don't believe.

That is why I believe David Moyes can't take us anywhere because he has already subscribed to this. We need someone to breeze into this club, and say right that's it. This is what we are going to do, and this is how we are going to do it.

It's going to start from the top down. This is the plan.

Everyone is so scared of this glass ceiling, or this lack of money. Considering we have no money, we have some pretty good players. Time for excuses are gone as far as I am concerned.
