If were talking about "one of the best managers in the world" id expect him to have the team playing a more interesting way for the viewing public....also finishing above 7th.
Are you really criticising a manager who has won the Europa three years in a row?

Yes Sevilla were boring as hell in that second half. Should have scored 5 or 6.

Simeone as well. I mean look how boring Atletico have been recently.
I don't know how their fans put up with only 2 CL finals and a League win in the past 3 seasons.

Under the financial restraints he's been under? Have you actually seen the figures of his negative net spend?

Where do you think he should have had Sevilla finishing given such restraints?

Something like 40 goals in 90 games for them yeah.

Misses so many chances though and most of his work is outside the box pressing....good player for them, bit like marcus bent was for us that season.

I'm confused. Got people saying Emery plays boring, defensive football. Then got Zatara saying Gamiero, although has scored 40 in 90, has missed so many other chances on top of those goals AND mainly plays outside the box too... Doesn't sound very defensive to me?

Anyone shed any light because the forum is offering very contradictory opinions...

That's just zat mate. He also thinks we should sell lukaku for 3 United reserve teenagers last week. Or sell and buy like 8 players at the same time.

When they step it up mate (as they did in the second half against the RS, for example), they can carve open sides.

Emery prefers a solid base, but is then happy for the likes of Vitolo, Denis Suarez (last season), Banega etc. to have the freedom of the park.

I'm not sold on him either, but you're making out a manager who's won three consecutive Europa League's on the spot, all the while with a negative spend on a small budget (with the assistance/teamwork of Monchi) and consistently got them in the upper reaches of the league.

My ideal choice would still be Koeman, but Emery is definitely somebody who would improve us and heck, imagine:

- Emery
- Klopp
- Pep
- Mourinho

All within a stones throw of each other next year in the Prem.

Cant see the fuss with Koeman either. Both of them have had a number of sales each season and had replacements integrated....but koeman hasnt had the best career.

Id much rathsr see FDB or Cocu as manager. Winners who play expansive football.

I know your knowledge is limited at best (saying galloway had played 1 game for us and duffy 2 games) but i think rashford is a bit more than a UTD reserve + one of the players i mentioned is out of contract + i said with money coming to us.

Quite frankly anyone who would turn down rashford is just odd.

But you're turning down a 'winner' who has proven himself at a much higher level than either FDB or Cocu.

Also, FDB has been widely criticised by people who follow Dutch footy for being 'too defensive' and with a limited style of play?

Why on Earth would United sell Rashford?

Zat old buddy, I've never seen someone so committed to the cause of posting such baffling opinions.

Everyones excited because hes won the uefa cup 3 years in a row. Great achiement.

However, other than that whats his allure?

Im just amazed hes considered one of the best managers in the world on here....
