Why on Earth would United sell Rashford?

They wouldnt.

I posed a hypothetical question which was if they wanted lukaku so much then:

Lukaku =Rashford+Fosu-mensah+borthwick jackson+money.

Gets us a forward and 2 full backs who we can have as cover whilst loaning out kids out for 6months then alternate with these guys for loan spells.

But you're turning down a 'winner' who has proven himself at a much higher level than either FDB or Cocu.

Also, FDB has been widely criticised by people who follow Dutch footy for being 'too defensive' and with a limited style of play?

Ajax fans are mental. Theyre even complaining about Overmars despite him needing to sell players each season.

I find both managers achievements in the league really impressive.3

It will be interesting to see this thread if he gets the job...after a few games the complaints will start.

Looks like only a couple of people on here actually know how his teams play...the rest saw one game against the RS and think hes the messiah.

Boring % based football.

Great achievements in the UEFA and id love a cup but dont think he will do well in the prem at all.

He plays percentage football when he has to. That's called pragmatism - a trait Martinez had absolutely none of.

He's a proven winner with a comparatively poor side compared to peer teams in his league, and there's nothing to suggest he couldn't transition here, given we're in the exact same boat in England.

He's quite clearly the outstanding candidate for the job.

Ok, ok,

But apart from the 3 Europa cups, the negative net spend, the development of players and the pragmatic approach, what has he actually achieved?

Don't want him. He doesn't like Gerri.

Not true.

He rates Geri, whilst at Sevilla he said how Deulofeu was THE BEST in a 1 vs 1 situation.
What he didnt like about him was his attitude towards helping the team in regards to defensive work and shape. Told Geri he needed to grow up and mature if he wanted to make it to the top.

I personally think the Deulofeu we seen three years ago is different to the one we have now, he has most definitely grown up. He and Emery will get along just fine.
