This was the last fatalist act of a bunch of thieves out for one last shilling. Their only regret (scum tories) is that more of em weren't in on it and that they didn't get more of a stake down.
(On a slightly related note, the gambling commission doled out very severe bans for a clutch of Chinese snooker players this past season, no prisoners taken, where integrity is concerned throw the book at them.)
