Impressive from Starmer, Sunak will need a some of his best stuff in the next half hour here to have any chance of gaining votes.

First question. Questioner came out swinging

Q: Why are you considering leaving the European convention on human rights. That’s inhumane?

Sunak says 15 EU countries have now backed removing asylum seekers to safe third countries. He says, faced with a choice between national security and a foreign court, he will choose national security every time.

Bruce asks why he is calling it a foreign court, when the UK helped to set it up.

It’s in Strasbourg, he says.

Christ.

Someone will be along with the doctor that kiboshed him and then the short and sweet back hander he got from the bald scots fellow.

Tonight was not pretty, at all, and I feel a little dirty for enjoying it so much because that fat rolled up ball of snot johnson is out there somewhere enjoying it that little bit more.

If sunak didn't realise his goose was cooked before tonight, he more than knows it now. That was ugly.

I'm still at an absolute loss why the excellent national service scheme is being unfairly restricted to 18 years olds. None of the reasons they've attempted to justify it with apply exclusively to young folk, so I say just select a random crop of ~2 million 18-65 year olds and send them to Ukraine/Oxfam for 10 weekends in a year.

Having your credit rating tanked by the Tories for a national service no-show might mean a bit more to a 50-something trying to remortgage too.

I'm just amazed that current 18 year olds aren't keen on punishing their younger siblings by throwing themselves behind this absurd policy. "It'll be to late for me to be punished, but you you snot gobbling little feckwit are having some time in the trenches"

And lo, the tory entitlement of signing up others for a fate you never have to is arrived at.
