they were due to have it last year, but it was cancelled because of COVID - so not that insane

When did UEFA ever have any form of Morals? They call FIFA every name under the sun, but only cause they’re the lesser of two evils.

They had to take it away, but given what a massive partner Gasprom is to UEFA, they won’t remain sanctioned for long.

It’s not like a war hasn’t been happening in Donbas since 2014 when Crimea was Annexed, didn’t stop them get the CL Final, Euros games, and an F1 fixture.

Greed rules the world, and if Turkey can offer UEFA a cash cow, they’ll be in bed instantly.

Trump has been overtly supporting Putin's invasion of Ukraine. If he were still in power there would be zero response from the US.

Absolutely but I don't think there will be any punishment . Germany will come out in support of Poland's , Sweden's etc. stance and then France will .
It just will be the Football authorities mess to sort out .

But this is what should be happening. All the sporting world should be turning their backs on Russia now. I know their athletes are currently unable to compete in the Olympics or the world athletics under the Russian flag, but even the compromise that lets them compete as they currently do should be taken away.

The Russian national team should have been banned outright, and Russian clubs should have been banned from european competition as well imo.

Fifa are shameless cowards and utter mercenaries that would do anything for their blood money. They know very well that this isn't the end of the matter. They know perfectly well that countries and teams all across the world will collectively and quite rightly refuse to play Russia/Russian teams. This leaves the sewer rats their little way out, they can always grovel to their pay masters that it wasn't their fault and that they "tried" but it everyone else who made the situation impossible for them. Vermin, utter vermin. Scum of the kin' earth.
