If they do go out in this stage, it’ll be the 5th time in 6 tournaments that the U21s have gone out at the group stage, that’s poor considering the amount of young players that come through each squad

If I was the FA, I’d sack Boothroyd, he’s been in charge 5 years and all he has to show for it is one semi final, the 2018 Toulon trophy and what’s now going to be consecutive embarrassing group stage exits

Awful that. Theres got to be a better team than that with all the good young talent in the league

In fairness there are a lot of players either with the full England squad or out injured who qualify for that team. James, Saka, Rice, Bellingham, Foden and Mount are all with the full squad. Sancho, Hudson Odoi, Lamptey and Greenwood all injured, and Alexander Arnold not picked for either. That's some serious quality that I'd challenge even Aidy Boothroyd to feck up.
