I really think USA needs to play Llanez and Ledezma over de la Fuente and Mendez. Neither of the latter have had much to any impact on games besides the odd free kick or long shot from Mendez

Decent enough showing from the US but some baffling selection choices. Durkin brings nothing and shouldn't have come back in and de la Fuente was awful and Llanez clearly better all tournament. Weah has a lot of talent but decision making will hold him back.

de la Fuente Mendez Gloster Keita and Soto were let downs this game. Combine that with Pomykal having an off game and it was a disaster in the mid making Durkin cover miles. Could have been different with McKenzie Llanez and Ledezma starting and don’t fully understand the changes

I think Durkin was the best distributor in the mid but wasn’t physically on the level of the Ecuadorians and had to cover for Mendez all game as he was completely horrible

I thought he was really poor on the ball and gave it away far too often. Also didn't do much in terms of shielding the backline. He barely gets a game for DC which says a lot honestly about his current level. He won't be troubling Adams and McKennie any time soon.
