I really like this signing. He’s been wanting to get away from Chelsea since the summer, cos they’re loaded up with so many expensive signings and the lad wants regular football. I thought he’d want to stay in London and there were rumours linking him to Palace and Fulham, so it’s a bit of a coup to get him to move North.

Would think if he found another club he was desperate to go to, we would trigger our right to buy him and that club would have to negotiate with us. The amount Chelsea can get for him now should be fixed at our option price, unless we decide against it (which we’d be mad to if he had clubs offering £50mill).

One happened last week in Europe didn’t it, where a club made a loan permanent purely so they could sell the player.

Who knows. The upside should be all ours now, unless there is an option to buy, but also a sell-on % to Chelsea.

Nice that he thinks everyone at the club is amazing already. Sack those awful interviews off and give the lad a football.

Honestly I don’t think Moyes was happy with how slack he was for the Leeds goal last Monday, hence why he was dropped and didn’t come on at Brighton and was sanctioned to leave tonight

But Moyes wasn't happy with McNeil last year and he has undeservedly wormed his way back in. We all know what Moyes is like: youngster makes mistake - hauled over the coals, silent treatment and out the side for weeks. 'Senior pro' shows they are crap time and time again and they still get picked.

Moyes needs saving from himself constantly. It's why he often produces results when he has no choices, but screws up when he does.
