2025/26 Tyler Dibling

One positive, I guess, from the game is that Moyes had some positive words to say about Dibling. Hopefully next game and it'll be McNeil dropped instead of him when Grealish is back.

One of the only 3 players of note on the pitch.

However, hes mostly not playing how he was at Southampton. Playing backwards and sideways wasnt his game then.

Posession for the sake of posession is pointless and what we tried to do yesterday. Need to go for the jugular with quick incisive play suited for Dibling and others.

Good first half, never loses the ball or gives it away, definitely a player there just needs games. He doesn’t look short of confidence, I think he definitely knows what he can do, he just seems scared. I think with him it is definitely an age/maturity thing.

Its why i don't think it was a wise investment for now.

3 years down the line. Maybe.

I think there's potential but my biggest worry is that he's regressed since he's joined us. Yesterday was fine for a lad his age, but the price tag makes you think there should be more than what we're getting right now.
Maybe if he`d not just been sat on the bench since he signed he might be more settled in and producing more. Moyes knew Ilman was going off in December for the African Cup but waited until he left before trying some other options on the right. Great planning by Moyes.

Thought he did well yesterday, created a few chances. Didn't look to beat his man as often as some might have liked to have seen, but he was very isolated out there with nobody overlapping or making runs to take defenders away and create space for him.

Stood up for himself well against a bit of rough treatment from the yard dog Burnley players too which was good to see.
