2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Worried that this lad is learning what Grealish has left in his locker because he's not the Jack of old. Timid to take on a player and when on the front foot, checks back far to often and slows forward play. He's 19 not 31 and should be enticed to take players on more by the coaching staff even if it doesnt always pay off. This supposedly is what we signed him for.

He’s probably terrified if he does anything too risky / gives the ball away he’s getting dropped.

Spot on...wondering if moyes is the right coach for him. Convinced that he was not taking on the player to not lose the ball on the manager instructions....far too safe.

You could notice it loads today.

I don't think it's a case of not taking anyone on though, he was constantly looking up and saw nobody making a forward run or even within 5 yards of him which results in him having to turn backwards. We have been this way for years.

Did ok I thought. His weight of pass was a bit iffy at times, which was a bit of a shame. Not really sure what his best position is or will be. Not quick enough to be on the wing for me, but might work with an overlapping full back.

Yep, unlike Grealish who wants to stay wide, Dibling v clearly wants to come infield and drop into number 10 type areas meaning he needs an overlapping right back. Pienaar was exactly the same, but he had Baines 🤷
