I think Moyes is partially to blame for not getting him minutes with Ndiaye and Grealish. He should have seen some time in the middle to see if he can carve out a niche. The worst possible position to put a non assertive player is isolated on the wings. It will be like playing with 10 men. If the play doesn't run through them, they are useless. My prediction on him before the signing has proven to be 100 percent correct thus far. Too much Iwobi/Bolasie and not enough off ball awareness.

Literally all he does is turn back inside and play sideways or back. Who scouted him and thought let's spend over 40m. The recruitment team have no idea what they are doing.

I personally don't think we did our homework on him. Stinks of the signing having been forced on the manager. Plus I don't like how he's apparently a really shy, introverted type — hardly what's needed in this division at a club like Everton.

Hard to know what he’s like as a lad, but 100% looks like he hasn’t got the arrogance and self belief to be the sort of player his skillset needs him to be. He has played plenty in the PL. We are waiting for him to learn the intricacies of playing for Everton. It’s not like he has never played football.

If he does have a precocious talent that needs coaxing out of him, we are doing a fine job of buggering it up.
