2025/26 Tyler Dibling

unless city drop the asking for grealish by about 80% then we arent signing him in the summer, meaning Dibling is/ was a key part of the puzzle, as Iliman moves back to the left and Dibling plays on the right (assuming you believe hes going to be good)

And thats without even mentioning AFCON, which (obvs) the club knew to be happening, and which will mean iliman isnt available.

4 months ago everyone was screaming for another right winger. It was always pretty unlikely whoever we got was going to displace Iliman, so buying for the future does/ did make sense.

It is annoying we didnt get more FBs in, but we did spend 9m on Aznou, so presumably we thought he was up to scratch, and maybe thats just a mistake, but you cant claim we didnt strenghten there because of the Dibling signing

So in the end youre left with us not signing a RB, which was a [Poor language removed] up, but again I dont think we didnt get one cos we signed Tyler

Just wish DM would give him more game time ahead of the AFCON, 30 mins here and there rather than 3

Wouldn’t surprise me if Moyes ‘management’ of Dibling puts off any up & coming younger talent signing for us whilst he is in charge.
This is my biggest gripe and concern with Moyes at the helm. Next summer we try and go for a young exciting player, they'll see a 40m winger with a whole season of experience in the prem get 5 minute cameos and think no thank you

….i also blame Moyes that Dibling only lasted a month at Chelsea, dreadful management especially as they’re the club he’s always supported

Should get some more gametime in the next month. It will be easier to dislodge McNeil than Ndiaye in the team. As much as we want to see more of him, its nice that there isn't any big pressure on his shoulders to come in and carry the attack. He's still very young and giving him some time to settle in at a new club on the other side of the country isn't a bad thing.

…exactly. I don’t get the blame culture when none of us know what’s going on. We all want him to be the real deal but the situation with him might not be straightforward.
I'm honestly not particularly worried about whats going on with Dibling.

Understand wanting to see what that money's been spent on, and admittedly I would have liked to see him get on 10 or 20 minutes earlier against forest (a game we had under control)

In context I dont think it's this inexplicable thing at all though really. Young player with limited experience, moving to a much bigger club and maybe needing to be coaxed out of his shell a bit. Big possibility that Moyes just want to give him the best possible chance to hit the ground running when he does start playing.

Not like we're lacking quality out wide with him on the bench so far this season. If he doesn't start getting minutes when Ndiaye is away - then I might start to get a bit worried.

….spot on, Matey.

Yes we do. We know the club has spent a lot of money (for us) on a player who has been bench warming from day one. Moyes has moved our best player across the pitch meaning Dibling was never starting games no matter what, as we were not dropping Illy and we were not bringing in a luxury signing in like Grealish and leaving him on the bench. That Dibling money could have and should have been spent on a RB and possibly a LB imo.
