2025/26 Tyler Dibling

If we were a team that was in that position that'd be fine, but our squad is so thin that any long-term injuries put us in a very precarious situation. I'd honestly preferred we'd spent 15m each on two players ready to hit the ground running or even better three at 10m each. It's the sort of business the top six clubs can do but too risky for us.

We've been doing that since Moshiri ran out of cash mate, making do with players for 15 -20 mill - we should aspire to more then a squad of McNeills and Mykolenkos - because that what that get you, we've been that solider already!

….90 mins, a 2-0 victory and that’s all you can come up with.

I suppose that’s a thumbs up for Moyes.
I want to see these lads get time.

But today 3pts were needed
And today 3pts were delivered

5 times we put the ball in the net.

A tactical change was made
And a different player brought in.

Moyes chose the dish
and the lads delivered.

Good day all-round

Basically isnt getting in the side anytime soon.

I remeber Baines having to wait as Moyes was playing a CB at LB for a year… tbf Leacott was amazing at LB and scored 11 goals in that season of memory serves me right.

Dibbling and Charly won’t get any game time while KDH is fit as Moyes seems to think he’s a 10 even though everyone … including KDH thinks he’s better as a CM

I’m not sure how he gets into the starting XI with Ndiaye playing so well. Hopefully he’ll see increased time in as a sub as we approach December’s departures so he’s ready.

Ndiaye has such an intense style and works so hard defensively that he drops off a lot after 70 minutes every game, understandably. Do think it's mad Dibling isn't getting any of those minutes.

Great point. Might be a good idea to auto sub Dibling around 60-70’. It would bring in a totally different style, much faster, and save Ndiaye for the season.

Yesterday Ndiaye seemed fine until the end. I'm guessing thats because we were on the front foot and he didnt need to be charging back to help O'Brien for 60mins back/forth.

Against United and Newcastle though, I'm hoping he is used as the Ndiaye sub as we wont be having that much freedom on the pitch.

20-30mins now until AFCON and then hes a starter until Ndiaye comes back...then rotation again.

If we can nail that down then we'll have done well over the season.

We don't have the time! We don't have the financial clout of the big boys for such a luxury. The big boys have a 2nd string on the bench that can compete against our 1st team. And THATS the luxury!

Dibling may take a season or 2 before he's (hopefully) top notch and in the England squads playing with those same "luxury" players you mention.

We need to develop him well over those 2 seasons and will have to wait and see from now until January (AFCON) how Moyes has done with him.

We need to focus on more Diblings and develop more Armstrongs and build a nucleus of top young English players.

Then success will follow.

Need to get Top 6 ( better if top 4 ) asap. That's where the money and the player pull power is. Even If it means signing short term experienced players like Xhaka / Vardy / Walker etc to get us there. Wouldnt call them Mercenaries. THEN - You can think about having young "luxury" players you can nurture.

The David Moyes & Moshiri wish list of woe.

Any other instances of players settling by being sat on a bench and playing no minutes?
Pretty normal for players to have to have to impress in training before usurping first choice isn't it ?

I guess during Afcon squad will have to rotate regardless, he will have to play unless Moyes does something with McNeil and Grealish.

So Moyes only has 5 PL games to ease him in, or throw him in at Arsenal.

It's going to be McNeil isn't it ?

Hopefully Dibling will fulfill his potential, although I only saw him a handful of times last season he didn't really stand out so I can only hope that the media experts who are pushing him as a future international see more than I could.

Only at this club seemingly. We seem to be 20 years behind everyone else.

If you make any tutor of impact in the PL at 18 mate your something special, particularly in attacking/creative positions.

Really like the look of Josh King who came on for Fulham yesterday.

Reading between the lines - Moyes has noted a couple of times that Dibling is shy - so throwing him in front of our famously patient fans at the same time as Barry and Rohl (both Diblings seniors) might be too much.

Frustrating as it is.
