2025/26 Tyler Dibling

I'd rather give minutes to the 19 year old with plenty of room for improvement.

Ideally I'd rather not spend 40m on a player viewed to be not ready to play. But we are where we are, and we need to help him develop
Who knows whats going on. Folk were crying for Alcaraz tonight then bemoaning him for being awful.

For a club with a paper thin squad It's a lot of cash to spend and then not use said player. We're not city or Chelsea who can park players. We needed players to come in who could hit the ground running.

Its a strange one alright.

So. We buy a talented youngster for 40 mill. Wtf is going on? Why splash that money in the first place if he is deemed not to be ready? Clearly Moyes wasn’t involved in this. If he was, he needs sacking for not doing his due diligence on a player. 40 million is scandalous money for a player who isn’t ready to start. Moyes should have known this before the money was splashed. I’m not blaming dibling in any of this btw. This is the most baffling transfer I think Everton have ever completed. No logic, no sense behind it at all. You’d think a player worth 40 million would be playing every week? Circus of a club.

Fingers pointed and questions asked of the manager about his scandalous use of players.

The only signings hes consistently used are Grealish & KDH.

2 players when used together that massively slow the play down, which is against how Everton should play.

You didnt watch him then.

Absolutely no reason why he couldnt play in our crap attack based on what he did last season.
It’s bonkers. Easy to get wrapped up in highlight clips but aside from the newly promoted sides, he would be up against the same players he was last year, giving performances that lead pretty much everyone to slap massive price tags on him.

I do think both he and Barry made appearances that look like they have been told outright that they are still developing, and not to worry, just get the minutes. But then get hoiked for not showing enough.

We really don’t seem to know how to do this. Would we be any worse off in the table if Barry and Dibling had played every minute of every game? Probably not with hindsight. They are both still not up to speed and probably hate that they are here.

Nailed it.

Makes no sense to me that Ndiaye can be totally shattered and yet Dibling barely sets foot on the pitch.

We saw how good he was against United last season. We saw his energy, tracking back and attitude against us last season.

This is 100% on Moyes.

I did. That lads a talent. But shown he was a talent under zero pressure given probably more freedom from a fraud of manager losing every week.

He's started 2 games for us and been awful. Moyes sees him in training and knowing full well the amount of money we spent on him, refuses to play him.

Go back to the vaults when we bought him and you'll find this is exactly how I thought it would pan out. Has nothing to do with the talent but everything to do with the price and whats expected.

If we'd paid the same price we paid for Alcaraz or McNeil (who was doing more at the same age) no one would be fussed. But we haven't so people expect.

When the truth is probably more like he's not ready to play for a club like ours and deliver.

Whether we agree or disagree with how little time he's getting, Moyes must be seriously unimpressed with him if he's not even getting on tonight. Yes he's an overly negative manager, but he's not going to refuse to play someone if they're showing something.

That in itself is a huge worry, especially when £40m has been spent.

Mate, he thought Dwight McNeil was a viable option tonight, that’s absolutley blown any argument from anyone about players not showing in training.

It’s farcical.
