2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Well your in a thread complaining about the thread, possibly cos of the negativity 'which is in every thread' or its maybe cos he hasn't played enough to warrant such quick opinions..

If its the latter, than that does make sense, maybe player threads shouldn't come active until they've played like 10 games or so, then conversation can be that bit more genuine, rather then bloated assumptions on players that they haven't had time to actually see.
What!?!?

Got the right manager here doesn’t he.

He needs a run, perhaps he gets it during AFCON, but I feel he might just need a run of games without fear of being dropped or subbed off early to find his top form and confidence. There’s flashes of some very good stuff from him.

Really needs to start bringing him on at 60 minutes in as many games as possible. There's 6 or so games left til afcon? The kid needs to actually get a chance to play before then to get him up to speed.

Also, total side note, but weirdly what Illi has done this season gives me more optimism for Dibling. Very different styles of dribbling, but Illi has managed to add an entirely new string to his bow when it comes to his end product after skinning someone - that's exactly what we need our coaching team to do with Dibling too.

….more game time is not necessarily what a young player needs to ‘get up to speed’, indeed it can knock their confidence if they’re not ready. The manager will know if the player is ready for more time on the pitch.

I kind of disagree and think it's the only way really. You never see a kid stay in the academy til 21 and then walk into the 1st team and immediately look like they belong, or something like that.

…I think it’ll be a good sign if we start seeing more of him because it’ll show he’s contributing more. Generally they have to earn game time.

Dibling would be great floating in to the centre from wide, very neat control and quick sleek passing, but O'Brien is not the answer to help his game.

I'd agree if we were talking about a starting spot. But we're talking about sub minutes in the lead up to the player in his position leaving for ~1.5 months. 5 minutes at the end isn't going to cut it to prepare for that
