Receives the ball, accelerates directly towards the opposition goal, cant get him off the ball, sees the pass and can execute both the final pass and or a shot.

So, robust, powerful, direct, creative and with high technical levels who has a good shot on him.

Also, not afraid to get stuck in on the defensive side.

Should be used on the right when Ndiaye tires or in the 10.

The goal Ndiaye scored yesterday is the type of dribbling, movement and directness I would expect Dibling will be able to deliver as well.

His treatment is just another baffling decision by Moyes. Dibling was playing premier league football every week last season, albeit in a struggling Southampton team. We then chased him for most of the summer before leaving him on the bench every week. He’s not exactly going to improve like this is he? Then he sees McNeil, a left winger, being brought on ahead of him to play on the right wing!

You have to wonder what goes through someones head who manages to bring in a top prospect with no intention to use them...preferring McNeil.

Weren't Southampton threatening to sue us like Burnley were. Makes you wonder if thats why we paid so much for Dibling.

….can only think of Dibling and Armstrong he’s had in this 2nd spell who are ‘teenager’ options to start games.

Dibling (or McNeil) are not starting ahead of Grealish/Ndiaye, so opportunities are limited. The first chance he had against Palace, Moyes started teenager Dibling (not McNeil) but he was very underwhelming, just as he had been at Wolves in the Cup.

Given the situation of the match last night, I understood why McNeil came on to replace Ndiaye but he was dreadful, not a shadow of the player who’s been one of our better performers these last few seasons.

None of us know the issues with Dibling although reports are that he’s struggling with uprooting from south coast. Given McNeil’s performance last night, it could be a matter of which option is least worst with Dibling/McNeil. A bit like Harrison/Lindstrom last season and Beto/Barry this.

I’d assume it’ll be Dibling’s turn next time. It’s a ‘he can’t be worst than McNeil’ scenario, just as McNeil was a ‘he can’t be worst than Dibling’ scenario. Groundhog Day. Dibling needs to make the most of the opportunity when it next presents itself.

I just don’t get the logic that any Manager stops picking their best option because he’s a teenager. It’s ridiculous, especially given Moyes must’ve endorsed the move. I guarantee he’d have come on last night if he’d been lighting the place up but he clearly hasn’t.

Not sure I’ve even seen him in recent training vids.

Where are the reports he is struggling uprooting from the South coast ?

Its not what ive heard here locally , infact there's a lot of praise for the lad plus he's been wowing everyone in training.
Same with Rohl BTW.

And don't just use the Palace game as a stick to beat him with the whole team stunk before a late turn around.
Same at Wolves in the cup arguably the teams worst performance of the season which as we all know was more down to Moyes selection and tactics than anything.

McNeil just featured in a u21 thrashing recently. He should be nowhere near getting in this first team side. Under anything but absolute emergency circumstances

I don't disagree.

It's seriously worrying if he's getting on ahead of Dibling. Doesn't reflect well on him.
