2025/26 Tyler Dibling

Everton should loan Tyler Dibling to Coventry City

Coventry City are on the verge of securing promotion to the Premier League, with former Everton manager Frank Lampard at the helm.

I Dont think we do that more than anybody else. It happens to every manager / club
I think we waste money more than most, the RSspent half a billion but still qualified for the champions league where they'll recuop most of that, we spent a lot for us and finished nearer the bottom of the table than the top and a dire end to the season.
We spent 63mill on the 2 worst strikers in the Premiership without even taking Dibling into consideration.

Probably the wrong thread to get into this debate, but Beto is categorically not one of the worst strikers in the PL. The money was probably not well spent there. He also offers a lot.

Dibling is going to be a waste. It would benefit this club to put a hard cap of say $30m on any one transfer.

We just simply dont have the luxury of signing 40m player and not use him.

Either Moyes is right and hes not upto it
Moyes is wrong and won't play him ahead of experience players
Or we have got this one badly wrong

We have to sell him in the summer or he hast be in the plans for next season.
Given our history lately, i'm going with the last option.

1) That would require having a good scouting and recruitment system in some less vaunted leagues, picking up players with development upside and for reasonable fees:

2) Moyes won’t/ doesn’t develop younger players players

3) Moyes wants premier league experienced players who all come at a cost premium even for relatively untested players.

Get him out!

The Athletics summer transfer ratings are in (for what they’re worth…)

I have an idea although it might sound a bit leftfield...how about just giving him 15 consecutive first team starts as a right winger for at least 70 minutes in every game with an actual right back playing behind him before he is judged?

Big flaw here: there are no right backs in football. only 6' 23" centrebacks played out of position there. sorry about the confusion!
