Simon Buttle
Player Valuation: £60m
If he is to stay out wide then he needs a proper full back behind him, Patterson/JOB won't ever be the answer.
Moyes is handling him well. Working on his game so he is ready to step up when we need him which he has.I watched him closely tonight and thought he did really well.
Loads of clever little touches, body shifts etc. Linked well with other players and definitely showed more of a willingness to take players on.
That’s why Moyes handling of him & all our young players not been great imo.
Should have been afforded more minutes then he’s had this season.
Positive signs though…
…..little things like seeing him celebrating that 2nd goal makes him look like he’s settled and feeling part of it.
I honestly thought Moyes might take him off with Patterson looking so exposed but delighted he worked around that with Rohl’s versatility.
He’s a ball watcher but his teammates and coaches will demand more from that respect and he will improve.
With a few positive signs from Barry, it might not have been that bad of a summer window after all![]()
Apparently he embraced it while he was at Chelsea for a month and couldn’t wait to tell all his mates about it back in Devon. Crazy.Makes sense, near the Islington elite
So you're saying the Park End daas weren't correct by saying he was rubbish after watching him in one game? This is why patience is required with young players instead of instant judgement if they make a slow start
Yes PhilSo you're saying the Park End daas weren't correct by saying he was rubbish after watching him in one game?

He plays nothing like any version of BaleGive him a full back and he’ll be brilliant, I’m convinced he’s the next Gareth Bale.
He plays nothing like any version of Bale
Villa Jack Grealish is probably about his ceiling
Yeah left footed regenHe's very similar to Grealish
Me tooI think he’s being managed really well, personally.
