There is a wide, wide, gap between 42m pound project and we must play this teenager every minute immediately. The club should do what is in the best long term interests of the player to get the best out of him. In turn that will be what is best for the club.

Maybe he’s ready to take on the starting job immediately and maybe he needs a few weeks to settle in to what the manager wants and learn his teammate etc..Ideally, he will be with us for a long time. A couple games in August makes little difference to a side that aren’t getting relegated and aren’t going to be winning the league this season.
If we are to spend 42 million on a player who plays in a problem position for us, he'd damn well better be starting from day 1.

This is exactly the same as what my saints ST holder said when I asked if he was any good

Said he was the next gazza

Also said that they’ve had lots of young players that they knew would make it such as lallana, ox,walcott etc but said when they first saw bale they knew he had something else ( didn’t expect him to be a top 3 player in the world ) but knew he was better than the rest …

He said dibling is the only other youngster that they say similar things about
I was showing his dribbling highlights to my kids and they were saying he looked amazing and I said to be cautious because highlight videos always make the player look good. Had to remind myself that all of these dribbles were from a single season which is incredible. Key thing for his progression will be whether he can add goals and assists. He's clearly capable of being an elite dribbler.

36m isn’t a lot of money for an attacking midfielder nowadays.

I think people are overestimating the cost. It’s less than Hutchison was for instance and I’d say he’s a pretty average player.

You are talking about an 8-10m player 10 years ago.

Given his age and experience and potential, it really shouldn’t be expected that he will hit the ground running.

Same with Barry.

Solanke was 50-60m. That’s the level where I’d expect immediate results.

The last thing Rooney needed in his career was more games as a teenager.

If we haven't got him up here with his medical complete we are totally incompetent. Absolutely no way should he be left to his own devices over the weekend. Him and his family should be in a box at the ground being wined and dined with the pen forced into his hand to sign the contract.

Seems like you’re getting angry whilst starting a post with the word ‘if’ 😂

Nah I'm sick of these things being dragged out. If (see what i did there) we have agreed everything we should be moving things as quickly as possible to get him signing on the dotted line. We've seen what happened to Eze with spurs and arsenal who's to say the same might not happen here?

He’ll have his medical today mate, I’m sure of it. Relax and enjoy the first home game in the new ground.
