Crystal Palace should never be more appealing than Everton. Look at Man U they are in nothing yet still have appeal to players.

United were a big trophy winning club in their lifetime, a club who also qualified for europe all the time.

With regard to Everton... there are now two entire generations who have never seen us win a trophy or be even good at football.

We also sucked during the Premier Leagues biggest boom years (early - mid 2000s) when the league was blowing up worldwide and picking up millions of foreign fans.

Brownhill at this stage of the window is a no brainer and I find it staggering that anyone would be so pig headed and delusional to debate it. Clearly the superstars that everyone thought we were holding out for aren’t going to be joining, and our midfield is currently a gaping chasm relying on a 36 year old as the last thread to hold it together.

He's not good enough and we'd be stuck again with paying someone over the length of the contract that we can't get rid of.
