Dibling technically is insanely good. By a country mile our most talented youngster since Bale and has the potential to go right to the very top. He tailed off a bit second half of last season but can't have been easy playing for us with how poor we were and especially for a kid in his first season of men's football.
Obviously no guarantee he'll realise that potential but he's worth the risk imo. £40m is a lot but football is mental these days and that's what you're paying for that level of potential, and if it works out you'll be selling him for more than double that a couple years down the line.
Those types of players are a rarity these days too in the robotic game we have now. Someone who raises the anticipation levels in the ground whenever he picks up the ball.
Think where you're at as a club would be a good move for him too as he needs somewhere he'll play regularly.
I know I'm biased but I actually think a full championship season would be the best thing for him to get him used to the physicality of the game similar to
Grealish at Villa. Very early on last season teams started targeting him to try and kick him off the pitch and that's something he'll have to get used to.
But I know that's very unlikely and if he's moving on you'd be a perfect destination for him imo. Big club who've been rubbish for a while and therefore he can play a part.
